Stakeholder Respect Statement

Abelglass Trade Supplies Ltd is committed to a safe, professional and respectful environment for everyone who works with us or comes into contact with our business.

We expect our employees, customers, suppliers, subcontractors, visitors and representatives to treat each other with dignity and respect. We will not accept abusive, threatening, discriminatory or intimidating behaviour, bullying, harassment or sexual harassment. This applies in person, on the telephone and through email, text, WhatsApp, social media and other online communication.

Friendly conversation and good humour are welcome, but “banter” is not acceptable where it is unwanted, sexual, discriminatory, intimidating, humiliating or offensive.

Our employees may work in customer homes, on construction sites and alongside other businesses. No employee is expected to tolerate inappropriate behaviour as part of their job.

If we reasonably believe that unacceptable behaviour has occurred, we may take proportionate steps to protect our people. These may include warning the person involved, changing who has contact with them, requiring communication or meetings to take place in a safer way, ending a visit or stopping work, requesting the removal of a person from a site, or ending a contract or business relationship. Suspected criminal behaviour may be reported to the police or another authority.

Abelglass applies the same standards to its own people. Concerns about the conduct of an Abelglass employee should be reported promptly to a Director or the Office Manager so that they can be considered fairly and sensitively. Shared standard By working with Abelglass or allowing Abelglass personnel onto a site or property, all parties are expected to support these standards of respectful behaviour.
