Material Properties/Composition
The Legend 70 Profile System is manufactured from impact modified unplasticised rigid PVC extrusion compound having high impact strength, corresponding to BS7413:1991. The formulation is such that the most important physical properties, such as Vicat softening temperature, elasticity modulus, tensile and impact strength on the one hand notch impact strength on the other are combined to optimum effect. Legend 70 profiles have a particularly low shrinkage.
Impact Strength
Compared with rigid PVC compounds of normal impact strength, Legend 70 profiles are outstanding in their resistance to fracture. This is particularly evident at temperatures below 0°c.
Weather Resistance and Colour Stability:
The Legend 70 Profile System has outstanding properties of weather resistance and colour stability.
Thermal Stability
The Legend 70 Profile System provides excellent thermal stability. To allow optimum modification of the physical properties of profiles it is possible to use high processing temperatures where necessary without the material suffering any thermal damage.
Processability
Legend 70 compound used is formulated specifically for profile extrusion. Such profiles have a consistent and smooth surface and are ideally suited to the heat welding process.

System Characteristics:
1. Profile Depth
The Legend 70 Profile System has a 70mm profile depth affording great flexibility for the replacement of steel or timber windows. Profiles feature separate drainage and reinforcement chambers in all cases.
2. Additional Profiles
The system incorporates a variety of additional clip on profiles to facilitate a neat installation in awkward building details.
3. Reinforcement
Reinforcement, where specified is located in the reinforcement chamber, this design feature reduces moisture and hence corrosion of any galvanised steel or aluminium sections used.
4. Fittings Attached
All main profiles are equipped with specific location points for the attachment of fittings into two thicknesses of PVC-U and reinforcing if required.
5. Internal & External Weather Sealing
The two sealing gaskets are specially designed to provide excellent sealing properties between frame and sash even with excessive wind loads.
6. Eurogroove
The eurogroove is designed to accept all European standard fittings.
7. Glazing
The Legend 70 Profile System is glazed by using technically advanced and counterbalanced EPDM and/or TPE glazing gaskets.
8. Thermal Performance
The Legend 70 Profile System complies with the requirements of building regulations documents L1 and L2 when used in conjunction with appropriate glazing units.
